We've been in graphic arts and prepress most of our life. We couldn't help it ... our fathers were in the business. Read on and you'll see that we can help you in more ways than many other photographers.
Our careers in print production began some time "b.c." - before computers. Randy's began with typesetting when he went to work at Professional Graphic Services, one of several companies his father started or owned through the years. Ed started with film stripping and color separation with the pioneering Sandford Litho which would later become Sandford Prepress. With the exception of a short stint at Harper House, Ed worked over 25 years with Sandford. Randy's career, thanks to a series of mergers and acquisitions, led him to work with some of Dallas' premier printing companies such as Bennett Printing, Riverside Press, and Heritage Press. Both became department managers overseeing operations including production departments and customer service.
The printing industry was very good to us both. However, with companies downsizing or closing through mergers and acqusitions, it was time for a change.
We combined our years of prepress experience with a longtime dream and passion for photography and Superstar Memories LLC was formed.
We know CMYK and RGB. We understand terms like pixel resolution and bandwidth. Line screen and press gain are not foreign to us either.
